Post-natal Support

Being your village

"It takes a village to raise a child" is a phrase oft used, sadly, little practised these days. That is what I am here for - to be that village, that extra pair of hands, that shoulder to cry on, that voice of reason, that sense of calm. Sometimes a mother needs mothering too.

I can provide feeding support - I am a trained breastfeeding supporter but can also support with bottle feeding - to help get your feeding journey off to the best possible start. I can help you bath, change and soothe your baby. Teach you to observe your newborn and learn to understand their cues. I will always be guided by what you want and need in that moment and my purpose is to just enable as smooth a transition as possible into those first few weeks with a new baby.

I also have a lot of experience with babies with reflux and cows’ milk protein intolerance (my eldest two children both suffered from severe reflux and CMPA), as well as having undertaken a sleep consultancy course.

I am also happy to cook for you in your home, do laundry, help tidy up, take the baby for a walk/look after the baby while you have a rest, and just generally be an extra, experienced, calming and reassuring pair of hands.

As well as all the practical support I offer, new motherhood can be an adjustment (and adding more children to your family may also bring a period of adjustment) and I am here to help you navigate that journey. Whether it be a safe space to debrief your birth, or a calm, neutral ear to listen and hear any worries or anxieties you may have, I am here to support and hold that space for you.
